CITIZEN ALERT

December 16, 2020

Nationwide there are over 16.7 million reported cases and over 303,963 deaths from the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Governor Roy Cooper has issued a 10 PM to 5 AM curfew proclamation for our entire state until further notice. Funeral Service employees are considered "Essential Workers" (Last Responders). That means that in times of peril and national emergencies we are expected (We are Honored) to continue to provide our "essential service" to our community. We ask that you assist us in keeping our community as safe as humanly possible by following safety precautions that we have been practicing since the beginning of this pandemic.

Only graveside and cremation services will be available (No Church services). It’s much too difficult for churches to sanitize such large facilities. There will be no chairs at graveside services except for family members who are physically challenged; in essence as little as possible for the virus to attach itself to.  Gatherings will be limited to 50 people only with “service passes” distributed by the immediate family.  Those without passes will be instructed to practice strict social distancing by Mortuary Staff

No complete home set-ups (Limited to door badge, street sign, & register book for the home).

Family/Public viewing at the funeral home (Limited to only ten (10) people at a time, including staff members). Please cooperate and follow staff instructions which include wearing facial covering, hand sanitizing and temperatures taken upon entry into the building.

  • Funeral arrangements and consultations shall be limited to three (3) people.
  • Limousine services are currently suspended. We will still lead you to graveside services.
  • No Repast: Employee will not attend. You are on your own.

We have a professional and moral obligation to serve and protect our community. We are here ready to do our civic duty - BUT PLEASE TREAT THIS COVID-19 WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT AND CAUTION. THIS VIRUS CAN KILL YOU. These precautions are simply an effort to save your lives, as well as protect our staff, and they will not be lifted until a vaccine is found to better protect all of us. Please know that we love you and wish you "Good Health". STAY HOME unless you must absolutely go out!!! Practice Hand-Washing and Social Distancing of six feet. NO HAND-SHAKING and NO HUGGING. It's a NEW DAY - we must live a NEW WAY!!
